With the increase in power of the PC platform, traditional closed PBX, IVR and call center solutions are being replaced by powerful, flexible telephony systems that are PC-based. With the coming of age of Asterisk™ and other open source soft PBX's, you can now build a system that will meet the needs call centers, chat lines, telephone companies and more. Sangoma has kept up with the changes and has a full line of Telco-grade voice cards for both TDM (Time Division Multiplex) and Analog connections.
Today's PC server running a modern operating system has all the requisites built-in to act as an IP forwarder from a LAN to a WAN as well as supporting Internet enhancement and security functions. All that is missing from the server is a T1, E1 or ADSL WAN card like our WANPIPE® routing drivers and utilities.
WANPIPE cards and software are used as an "inside-the-box" routing solution that eliminates the need for an expensive stand-alone router, and all its associated cables, connectors and power supplies. This streamlined solution enables companies to cut costs, reduce storage space and maintenance costs and improve performance and reliability.
Many products and projects have data communications components. Sangoma provides toolkits that allow customers to build their own devices that incorporate our products - knowing that all the communications aspects will be handled seamlessly and reliably by experts.
Many of these projects involve supporting legacy equipment used by the military, aviation, government and utilities. Other projects involve point-of-sale customer loyalty programs or security systems that require capturing data off cash register loops.
Our cards are also used by OEM customers to support video broadcasting over satellite links or leased lines.

Support for Third Party Software
With our 20 years of engineering and technical expertise, we provide WAN hardware and interfaces to support third party software suites. This is specialized or packaged software that is used for mainframe connectivity -- providing communications test environments, or to support specialized communications applications such as those used in telephone switches.
WAN EduKit®
WAN EduKit® enables WAN educators to provide a unique hands-on learning experience for their students. Teaching WAN protocols without a live network is like teaching auto mechanics without a real vehicle. Sangoma's WAN EduKit™ and WANPIPE® for Educators provide the hands-on environment that data communications students need to complement their theoretical studies.
