Fonality trixbox Open Communication Certification (FtOCC, pronounced "F-talk") was a three day course designed to teach the basics of trixbox administration. Taught by Kerry Garrison, trixbox Senior Product Manager, with support from Andrew Gillis, trixbox Founder, and others, FtOCC was a great opportunity to roll-up your sleeves and learn the ins-and-outs of trixbox. Designed for those who wish to install trixbox systems for their company or clients, persons tasked with maintaining a trixbox installation, or users relatively new to trixbox that want a better understanding of it’s capabilities. FtOCC focused on the core operations that an administrator would need to handle on a regular basis. Sangoma was a Platinum Sponsor of FtOCC and Sangoma's CEO David Mandelstam presented.

Summary: Extending OpenPBX Architecture for Scalable Enterprise Media Gateways The new breed of Open PBXs/Switches, such as Asterisk, FreeSwitch, and Yate, etc., are pushing the boundaries of Open Source Telephony. Nenad discussed ways to extend the current Open PBX architecture to support scalable multi-system architectures for high capacity media gateway applications, using Craig Southeren’s Woomera TDM protocol and Sangoma’s TDM API. Such architectures integrate GPL and NON-GPL code to achieve the desired solution without violating the GPL licensing. The ultimate goal of this architecture is to rapidly produce high quality telephony products by combining existing GPL and Non-GPL telephony technologies.
