Sangoma Hardware Roadmap
2006-10-06: Upcoming AFT Hardware Changes: Dallas/Maxim Framers
Sangoma is moving towards the use of Dallas/Maxim T1/E1 framers. The AFT series of cards: A102,A104u,A104c,A104sh and A104d are currently going through a hardware re-design. Within six months the old A102,A104u,A104c,A104sh and A104d hardware will be discontinued, and replaced with new A102m, A104m and A104dm. (Note *m* indicates Maxim framer)
The new hardware will look and behave exactly the same as older hardware, without any API or functionality changes. However, old drivers will not be able support the new A102m,A104m,A104dm hardware.
Note: The new A108m and A108dm cards are already using Dallas Framers. 2006-10-06: Upcoming AFT A102dm Card with Onboard Echo Canceller
The AFT A102dm card is currently in its first build cycle and will be available for sale in few weeks. The AFT A102dm card will support Dual T1/E1 ports with on board hardware 1024 tap echo canceler. |
